The Nonnies Award
The Nonnies Award is named after beloved WSI founding member, Nora "Nonnie" Moran Marovich, who was an instrumental voice in shaping our organization. She was known for being compassionate, caring, and always willing to help. Our goal with the Nonnies is to honor Nonnie's legacy of supporting others and dedication to community service. ANNA ALER
Awarded $2,500 
A 2024 Nonnies Award recipient, Anna is a senior at Plainfield North High School. She was recognized for volunteering at an animal shelter where she built and upholstered benches. In addition to volunteering, Anna has a passion for STEM. She has been instrumental in promoting women in science and math as the President of the Engineering, Math and Science Club. Anna plans to attend the University of Illinois and study Mechanical Engineering.
RYAN GUSTIS
Awarded $2,500 
A 2024 Nonnies Award recipient, Ryan is a junior at Downers Grove High School. He is the founder of The Backpack Project, a charitable organization that donates backpacks to the homeless with supplies to help them stay warm and healthy. This organization has provided backpacks throughout the Midwest, and continues to grow and provide supplies and hope to the homeless population. Ryan has also volunteered at numerous other local charities and plans to study business in college.

TWO EVENTS IN ONE!
Join us and learn about gaining dual citizenship and then hear a brief presentation about Naper Settlement's Murray Building.

DUAL CITIZENSHIP
Join in a discussion on how to achieve dual citizenship. Charles J. Corrigan, Partner at Dommermuth Cobine West Gensler Philipchuck & Corrigan, Ltd. will review dual citizenship requirements.

NAPER SETTLEMENT MURRAY BUILDING
A North Central College student will provide brief presentation about the history of the Murray Building at Naper Settlement including its two previous location before settling in at the Settlement.

When: Monday, June 3, 2024 from 6:30p-8:00p
